(VAOFI40) 14mL IR Cuvette with PTFE Lid, Fused, Round Base, Lightpath 40mm
$103.00
This IR cuvette is for wavelength 250 – 3500 nm, with a path length of 40 mm. Resistant to most chemicals. Use up to 600°C. The price is for 1 piece.
- Type: Fused
Description
VAOFI40 Fused Quartz IR Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 40 mm optical path length and a 14 ml internal volume.
This extra-long path cuvette is ideal for applications that require maximum detection sensitivity in IR and UV/VIS spectroscopy.
Manufactured using fused fabrication, it offers high thermal and chemical resistance. A round base ensures compatibility with most IR spectrometers, while the PTFE lid provides basic coverage during measurements.
Key Features
- 40 mm long optical path — greatly increases detection sensitivity, especially for low-concentration samples.
- 2-window configuration — optimized for transmission and absorbance spectroscopy with minimal signal loss.
- Fused fabrication — supports up to 600 °C and resists most acids, bases, and solvents.
- Wide spectral range — 250 – 3500 nm, compatible with a variety of analytical applications.
- PTFE lid — basic coverage to minimize sample evaporation and contamination during short-term use.
Typical Applications
- Infrared and UV/VIS absorbance spectroscopy.
- Trace analyte detection requiring high path length.
- Environmental, chemical, and industrial quantitative analysis.
- Extended path length experiments for enhanced absorbance signals.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Resistant to temperatures up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Excellent chemical resistance except for HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents that reduce service life.
- Powder seams may discolor over time; not recommended for long-term sample storage.
- PTFE lid provides basic protection but is not designed for oxygen isolation or volatile sample containment.
