This IR cuvette is for wavelength 250 – 3500 nm, with a path length of 2 mm. Resistant to most chemicals. Use up to 600°C. The price is for 1 piece.
- Type: Fused
Description
VAOFI2 Fused Quartz IR Cuvette is a 2-window IR cuvette designed for high-precision transmission measurements. With a 2 mm optical path length and 700 µL internal volume, this cell strikes an excellent balance between path length and sample volume, making it ideal for IR absorbance experiments. The round base ensures good compatibility with various IR and UV/VIS instruments, and the PTFE lid provides basic sample protection.
Key Features
- 2 mm optical path — ideal for medium concentration measurements with reduced path-induced attenuation.
- 2-window configuration — optimized for absorbance and IR transmission studies.
- Fused quartz body — wide spectral range (250 – 3500 nm), excellent IR transmittance, and high chemical resistance.
- PTFE lid — offers basic sealing to reduce evaporation and contamination during short experiments.
- Thermal resistance up to 600 °C — suitable for high-temperature chemical testing environments.
Typical Applications
- Infrared and NIR absorbance spectroscopy (250 – 3500 nm).
- Concentrated solution measurements where shorter path length improves signal.
- Low- to medium-volume analytical work in chemical, pharmaceutical, and environmental testing.
- High-temperature and solvent-resistant experimental setups.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Constructed from fused quartz powder for excellent heat and optical stability.
- Gaps may discolor with use; not intended for long-term storage of samples.
- Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or other aggressive solvents.
- Each cell is drop-tested at 1 m height and packed securely with foam and bubble wrap before shipment.
