Description
VAOFI5 Fused Quartz IR Cuvette is a 2-window IR cuvette designed for medium path length absorbance measurements. With a 5 mm optical path length and 1.75 ml volume, it offers excellent balance between sensitivity and sample volume requirements. The cuvette features a round base for wide instrument compatibility and a PTFE lid for basic sample protection during measurement.
Key Features
- 5 mm optical path — ideal for mid-range absorbance experiments, providing enhanced signal compared to shorter path cells.
- 2-window configuration — optimized for transmission IR and UV/VIS spectroscopy.
- Fused quartz body — exceptional IR transmission (250 – 3500 nm), acid/base and solvent resistance, and high temperature tolerance.
- PTFE lid — provides light sealing to reduce evaporation and contamination during testing.
- Heat resistant up to 600 °C — suitable for demanding laboratory conditions.
Typical Applications
- IR and NIR absorbance spectroscopy (250 – 3500 nm).
- General laboratory chemical and material analysis.
- Mid-range optical path applications where signal strength and volume efficiency are important.
- Solvent-resistant and high-temperature spectroscopy setups.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Made from fused quartz powder, ensuring high thermal stability and optical clarity.
- Gaps may discolor over time; not intended for long-term sample storage.
- Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or similar aggressive solvents.
- Each cell is securely packed and 1 m drop-tested before shipment.
