(VAOFI20) 7mL IR Cuvette with PTFE Lid, Fused, Round Base, Lightpath 20mm
$66.00
This IR cuvette is for wavelength 250 – 3500 nm, with a path length of 20 mm. Resistant to most chemicals. Use up to 600°C. The price is for 1 piece.
- Type: Fused
Description
VAOFI20 Fused Quartz IR Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 20 mm optical path length and a 7 ml internal volume.
It is specifically designed for IR and UV/VIS transmission spectroscopy where extended path length is required to enhance sensitivity for low-concentration samples.
The cuvette features a fused fabrication, providing high temperature and solvent resistance, and a round base for compatibility with most instruments. A PTFE lid offers light coverage for short-term measurements.
Key Features
- 20 mm extended optical path — ideal for applications that require enhanced sensitivity in IR and UV/VIS spectroscopy.
- 2-window configuration — optimized for absorbance and transmission measurements with minimal signal loss.
- Fused fabrication — withstands high temperatures up to 600 °C and resists most acids and bases.
- Wide spectral range — 250 – 3500 nm, suitable for a broad range of analytical applications.
- PTFE lid — provides light sealing to reduce evaporation and contamination during short-term use.
Typical Applications
- Infrared and UV/VIS absorbance spectroscopy.
- Low-concentration sample detection requiring longer path length.
- Quantitative environmental and chemical analysis.
- Thermal or chemically demanding experiments.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Fused construction allows heating up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Excellent chemical resistance except against HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents that reduce service life.
- Small powder seams may discolor with long-term storage; not recommended for storing samples for extended periods.
- PTFE lid provides basic protection but does not isolate oxygen or volatiles.
