(VAOFI10) 3.5mL IR Cuvette with PTFE Lid, Fused, Round Base, Lightpath 10mm
$41.00
This IR cuvette is for wavelength 250 – 3500 nm, with a path length of 10 mm. Resistant to most chemicals. Use up to 600°C. The price is for 1 piece.
- Type: Fused
Description
VAOFI10 Fused Quartz IR Cuvette is a 2-window IR cuvette optimized for standard path length infrared and UV/VIS transmission measurements.
With a 10 mm optical path length and 3.5 ml internal volume, it is the most commonly used size for routine absorbance analysis, compatible with most IR and UV/VIS spectrometers.
The round base ensures broad instrument compatibility, and the PTFE lid provides basic coverage to minimize evaporation during testing.
Key Features
- 10 mm standard optical path — ideal for most absorbance and IR transmission experiments.
- 2-window configuration — designed for high signal stability in IR and UV/VIS applications.
- Fused quartz material — excellent transmission from 250 – 3500 nm, with strong chemical and thermal resistance.
- PTFE lid — provides basic protection against evaporation and contamination during short experiments.
- High durability — withstands temperatures up to 600 °C and resistant to most laboratory solvents (excluding HF).
Typical Applications
- Infrared and UV/VIS spectroscopy (250 – 3500 nm).
- Quantitative absorbance measurements with standard 10 mm path length.
- Routine chemical and environmental analysis.
- Experiments involving high temperature or chemically aggressive conditions.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Produced using fused quartz powder for high thermal resistance and optical clarity.
- Gaps may discolor with time; not intended for long-term storage of samples.
- Not suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, or similar aggressive solvents.
- Each cuvette is foam- and bubble-wrapped and drop-tested at 1 m before shipping.
