Description
VFOF2 – 0.7 mL Standard Fluorescence Cuvette (Fused, 2 mm or 10 mm Lightpath, 4 Windows)
The VFOF2 is a standard fused quartz fluorescence cuvette with an adjustable optical path length of 2 mm or 10 mm and a 0.7 mL sample volume.
Engineered using Fused Fabrication (assembled with quartz powder), this cuvette delivers excellent UV/VIS transmittance, chemical durability, and heat resistance, making it an ideal choice for low-volume, high-sensitivity fluorescence or absorbance experiments.
Key Features
- 2 mm / 10 mm path length: 2 mm is ideal for high concentration samples; 10 mm for standard measurements.
- 4 optical windows: supports excitation and emission detection from multiple directions.
- Fused fabrication: provides reliable optical quality and thermal stability.
- Heat resistance: up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Chemical resistance: resistant to most acids and bases, but not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or strong organic solvents.
- Pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- Protective packaging: packed with foam and bubble wrap, 1-meter drop tested for safe shipping.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy
- UV/VIS absorbance measurements
- Low-volume biological and biochemical assays
- Pharmaceutical and materials research

About Fused Fabrication
- Constructed by fusing quartz powder at high temperature.
- Heat resistant up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or strong organic solvents.
- Seam areas may absorb stains; not suitable for long-term sample storage.
- Typical pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
Note: VFOF2 is designed for precise low-volume fluorescence and absorbance measurements. For best longevity, avoid harsh solvents and prolonged storage of samples in the cell.
