Description
VAPM8A – 0.7 mL Micro Stopper Absorption Cuvette (Molded, 2 mm Lightpath, 2 Windows)
The VAPM8A is a molded quartz micro absorption cuvette with a 2 mm optical path length and a 0.7 mL sample volume. It is ideal for UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy involving high-concentration or low-volume samples. The cuvette is designed with 2 optical windows for high-transmission measurements and comes with a PTFE stopper providing basic sealing during routine laboratory use.
Key Features
- 2 mm optical path length: ideal for high-concentration samples to prevent signal oversaturation.
- 2 optical windows: optimized for absorbance measurements with high optical clarity.
- Micro volume (0.7 mL): reduces sample consumption while maintaining measurement accuracy.
- PTFE stopper: provides standard sealing for everyday use (not suitable for anaerobic or pressure-sealed applications).
- Molded fabrication: highest quality optical finish with a pathlength tolerance of ±0.01 mm.
- Wavelength range: 190–2500 nm (UV/VIS).
- Temperature resistance: −60 °C (−76 °F) to 1200 °C (2192 °F).
- Chemical compatibility: resistant to most acids, bases, and aggressive organic solvents including toluene and acetone; not suitable for HF.
- Secure packaging: foam and bubble wrap; drop-tested from 1 meter before shipment.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy
- High-concentration sample analysis
- Low-volume absorbance testing
- Routine laboratory measurements

About Molded Fabrication
- Molded fabrication represents the highest optical and dimensional quality among quartz cuvettes.
- Manufactured from a single piece of high-purity quartz for maximum precision and durability.
- Pathlength tolerance: ±0.01 mm, ensuring exceptional measurement repeatability and accuracy.
- Excellent resistance to acids, bases, and strong organic solvents (e.g., toluene, acetone); not compatible with HF.
- Superior surface flatness and clarity ideal for precision spectroscopic analysis.
Note: VAPM8A is a precision-molded absorption cuvette designed for high-accuracy measurements in demanding laboratory environments. The PTFE stopper provides standard sealing but is not designed for anaerobic or high-pressure use.
