Description
VAOF17 Fused Quartz Absorption Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 10 mm optical path length and a 17 ml volume. It features a wide clear wall design, ideal for UV/VIS absorbance measurements where standard path lengths are required for routine and advanced analytical applications. Fused fabrication offers superior thermal and chemical resistance, making this cuvette suitable for demanding laboratory environments.
Key Features
- 10 mm optical path length — the standard for most UV/VIS absorbance measurements.
- 2-window design — optimized for straight-beam spectroscopy and accurate light transmission.
- Fused fabrication — excellent thermal resistance (up to 600 °C) and chemical durability in most acid and base conditions.
- Wide wall geometry — ensures stable light transmission and low signal interference.
- Broad wavelength range — 190 – 2500 nm, suitable for UV/VIS and NIR applications.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorbance and transmission studies.
- Protein and nucleic acid quantification at 260/280 nm.
- Environmental pollutant analysis (e.g., nitrates, phosphates).
- Routine and high-precision laboratory assays.
- Quality control in chemical and pharmaceutical analysis.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Fused fabrication provides excellent thermal and chemical resistance.
- Not recommended for hydrofluoric acid (HF) or strong organic solvents such as toluene and acetone.
- Powder seams may discolor with use, but this does not affect optical performance.
- Typical path length tolerance is ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
