Description
VAOF1046 Fused Quartz Dual Lightpath Fluorescence Cuvette is a 4-window cuvette with a 10 mm and 46 mm dual optical path length and a 20 ml volume.
It is designed for both standard fluorescence experiments and high-sensitivity applications, giving researchers flexibility in detection sensitivity.
The long-path configuration amplifies weak optical signals and enables accurate detection of trace-level analytes.
Why Long Path Length Matters
Long path length cuvettes extend the light’s travel distance through the sample, directly amplifying absorbance or fluorescence signals based on the Beer–Lambert Law.
This enhancement increases detection sensitivity, improves signal-to-noise ratio, and allows for precise measurements at low concentrations.
The VAOF1046 cuvette offers two selectable paths (10 mm & 46 mm), enabling users to choose between standard and high-sensitivity modes depending on the experiment.
This design is ideal for:
- Fluorescence measurements with low-concentration fluorophores.
- Trace contaminant detection in environmental and pharmaceutical analysis.
- UV/VIS absorption and emission experiments requiring adjustable path lengths.
- Biological, chemical, and materials R&D applications with flexible sensitivity needs.
Key Features
- Dual optical path (10 mm / 46 mm) — flexible configuration for different measurement ranges.
- 4-window design — allows side detection, optimized for fluorescence spectroscopy.
- Fused fabrication — excellent heat resistance (up to 600 °C) and strong chemical durability.
- Long-path mode — enhances detection sensitivity, signal strength, and measurement accuracy.
- Wide wavelength range — 190 – 2500 nm, suitable for UV/VIS and fluorescence instruments.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence assays with side detection.
- Low-concentration absorbance or emission studies.
- Environmental and water quality analysis for trace detection.
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced material research.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Fused quartz provides exceptional optical clarity, heat resistance, and chemical stability.
- Not suitable for hydrofluoric acid (HF) or strong organic solvents such as toluene and acetone.
- Powder seams may discolor over time without affecting optical performance.
- Path length tolerance typically ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
