About Fused Fabrication
Fused quartz cuvettes are manufactured using high-temperature sintering of quartz powder, ensuring:
- Excellent thermal resistance — up to 600 °C.
- High optical clarity and measurement stability.
- Chemical durability against most acids and bases (except HF and strong organic solvents such as toluene or acetone).
- Typical path length tolerance: ±0.06–0.08 mm.
Usage Notes
- Ideal for high-precision absorption measurements.
- Best suited for aqueous solutions and moderate solvents.
- Not recommended for long-term storage of aggressive organic solvents.
Note: Compared with bonded cuvettes, fused quartz cuvettes offer superior chemical resistance and durability, making them well-suited for demanding analytical applications.
