Description
VAOF25 Fused Quartz Absorption Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 1.5 mm optical path length and a 2.5 ml volume.
It features a wide clear wall design optimized for high-concentration or strongly absorbing samples, minimizing absorbance saturation.
Fused fabrication provides excellent chemical and thermal resistance, ensuring reliable optical performance in demanding analytical applications.
Key Features
- 1.5 mm optical path length — ideal for high-concentration samples or strong absorbance measurements.
- 2-window design — optimized for straight-beam UV/VIS absorbance spectroscopy.
- Fused fabrication — provides outstanding chemical durability and thermal stability up to 600 °C.
- Wide wall geometry — ensures stable optical alignment and low background interference.
- Broad wavelength range — 190 – 2500 nm, suitable for UV/VIS and NIR applications.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorbance measurements with high-concentration or strongly absorbing samples.
- Protein and nucleic acid quantification at 260/280 nm.
- Environmental testing and water quality analysis.
- Industrial QC and analytical research.
- Short path length applications to reduce signal saturation.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Fused fabrication provides excellent thermal and chemical resistance.
- Not suitable for hydrofluoric acid (HF) or strong organic solvents such as toluene and acetone.
- Powder seams may discolor over time but do not affect optical performance.
- Typical path length tolerance is ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
