Description
VAOF55 Fused Quartz Absorption Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 2 mm optical path length and a 5.5 ml volume. It features a wide clear wall design optimized for high-concentration samples, minimizing absorbance saturation in UV/VIS measurements. Fused fabrication offers excellent thermal and chemical resistance, ensuring stable and precise optical performance in demanding applications.
Key Features
- 2 mm optical path length — ideal for high-concentration or strongly absorbing samples.
- 2-window design — optimized for straight-beam UV/VIS absorbance measurements.
- Fused fabrication — provides outstanding chemical durability and thermal resistance up to 600 °C.
- Wide wall geometry — ensures stable optical alignment and low stray light interference.
- Broad wavelength range — 190 – 2500 nm, suitable for UV/VIS and NIR applications.
Typical Applications
- High-concentration UV/VIS absorbance and transmission measurements.
- Protein and nucleic acid quantification at 260/280 nm.
- Environmental testing and water quality analysis.
- Industrial QC and analytical research.
- Applications requiring short path lengths to avoid signal saturation.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Fused fabrication provides excellent thermal and chemical resistance.
- Not suitable for hydrofluoric acid (HF) or strong organic solvents such as toluene and acetone.
- Powder seams may discolor over time but do not affect optical performance.
- Typical path length tolerance is ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
