Description

VAOF138 Fused Quartz Absorption Cuvette is a 2-window quartz cuvette with a 13.8 ml volume, designed as a customized size product for specific experimental and OEM applications.
Made from high-purity fused quartz, this cuvette offers excellent optical clarity, chemical resistance, and thermal stability, making it suitable for demanding laboratory environments.

Unlike standard catalog cuvettes, this model is precision-fabricated to custom dimensions, allowing researchers and equipment manufacturers to achieve exact compatibility with unique instrument holders, optical setups, or flow systems.

This cuvette is ideal for:

  • Custom instrument integration and OEM use
  • Specialized analytical applications in R&D
  • Experimental setups requiring non-standard cuvette geometry
  • Laboratory users needing exact dimension control for optical alignment

Key Features

  • Customized dimensions — precisely fabricated for specialized instrument compatibility.
  • 2-window design — ideal for standard transmission and absorbance measurements.
  • Fused fabrication — ensures excellent thermal resistance (up to 600 °C) and chemical durability.
  • High-purity quartz — superior optical clarity for UV/VIS and NIR applications.
  • Wavelength range — 190–2500 nm, suitable for most analytical instruments.

Typical Applications

  • OEM and custom system integration
  • Custom experimental optical setups
  • Material science and spectroscopy R&D
  • Precision absorbance and transmission measurements

Fused Fabrication Notes

  • Fused quartz provides excellent stability, high temperature resistance, and optical quality.
  • Not suitable for hydrofluoric acid (HF) or strong organic solvents such as toluene and acetone.
  • Powder seams may discolor over time but do not affect performance.
  • Typical dimensional tolerance: ±0.06–0.08 mm.

Why QVARZ Cuvettes and Cells?

QVARZ is world-renowned as the producer of premium quartz cuvettes. Over fifteen years of experience manufacturing quartz cuvettes ensures that every QVARZ cuvettes are manufactured to the most exacting standards for reproducible results.

  • Spectrophotometry cuvettes - Most spectrophotometry applications in the visible and UV ranges benefit from QVARZ spectrophotometry cuvettes. Our cuvettes made of fused quartz material deliver precise and reliable readings even at wavelengths as low as 190 nm. QVARZ cuvettes are compatible with most spectrophotometers and photometers with standard 0.2 - 100 mm path lengths.

  • Fluorometry cuvettes - QVARZ brings two decades of experience molding high-quality spectrophotometry cuvettes to new four-sided clear cuvettes for fluorometry. Available in standard quartz material with ultra-low auto-fluorescence for the highest precision measurements.

  • Protective packaging - QVARZ cuvettes are encased in dust-free, low scratching expanded polystyrene packaging. This ensures that premium cuvettes arrive in the laboratory ina the same pristine condition they were in at the factory, with optical quality windows and free of contaminants.

  • Volumes for most purposes - Our cuvettes are available in a variety of ranges from macro to macro semi-micro sizes to respond to the needs of most scientific applications. We are also able to customize sample volume to deliver consistent, accurate findings.

  • Perform consistently - QVARZ Cuvettes are constructed from high-quality fused quartz materials and are grouped by manufacturing mold cavities to ensure the lowest fluctuation in extinction coefficient.

  • Customization - Custom cuvettes and cells are encouraged and available upon request; mechanical drawings with specifications and tolerances are prerequisites. Awesome pricing and flexibility on small quantities.
