Description
VFSM10 – 3.5 mL Standard Fluorescence Cuvette with Screw Cap (Molded, 10 mm Lightpath, 4 Windows)
The VFSM10 is a high-precision molded quartz fluorescence cuvette with a 10 mm optical path length and 3.5 mL sample volume. Designed for demanding fluorescence and spectroscopic applications, it features four optically polished windows and a screw cap with septa for secure sealing, making it suitable for anaerobic and oxygen-sensitive experiments.
Molded fabrication offers the highest dimensional accuracy and best chemical durability among quartz cuvette types, supporting a wide range of corrosive and organic chemicals, including aggressive solvents that may shorten the service life of other fabrication types.
Key Features
- 10 mm optical path length: standard format compatible with most fluorescence and UV/VIS instruments.
- 4 optical windows: enables high-quality 90° fluorescence measurements and excellent UV transparency.
- Screw cap with septa: allows better sealing and reduces evaporation or oxygen interference.
- Molded fabrication: the highest precision (path length tolerance ±0.01 mm) and superior durability for repeated solvent exposure.
- Wavelength range: 190–2500 nm (UV/VIS).
- Wide chemical compatibility: resistant to acids, bases, and strong organic solvents such as toluene, acetone, chloroform, and similar chemicals.
- Packaging: packed with foam and bubble wrap; passed 1-meter drop test before shipment.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy
- UV/VIS absorbance measurements
- Anaerobic and oxygen-sensitive experiments
- Strong solvent chemical analysis
- Long-term routine lab use

About Molded Fabrication
- Molded fabrication provides the highest optical precision and path length tolerance (±0.01 mm).
- Excellent resistance to acids, bases, and strong organic solvents including toluene, acetone, and chloroform.
- Ideal for aggressive solvent environments, anaerobic systems, and long-term use.
- HF (hydrofluoric acid) is not compatible with quartz and must not be used.
- Longer service life compared to fused and bonded fabrication types.
Note: VFSM10 is especially recommended for demanding fluorescence and solvent-based experiments where chemical resistance and dimensional stability are critical.
