Description
VFPFS2 – 0.7 mL Semi-Micro Quartz Cuvette (Fused, 2 mm Width, 4 Windows, with Stopper)
The VFPFS2 is a high-quality semi-micro quartz cuvette designed for fluorescence spectroscopy.
With a narrow 2 mm internal width and 4 optical windows, it allows precise optical measurements with moderate sample volumes. The cuvette comes with a PTFE stopper, providing secure sealing for sensitive experiments while preventing evaporation or contamination.
Key Features
- Sample volume: 0.7 mL — suitable for semi-micro fluorescence assays.
- 2 mm internal width: balances low sample use with good optical path control.
- 4 optical windows: enables excitation and emission at 90° for fluorescence applications.
- PTFE stopper: ensures reliable sealing and minimizes sample loss.
- Fused fabrication: assembled with quartz powder, resistant to temperatures up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Path length tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- Wavelength range: UV/VIS (190 – 2500 nm).
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy and emission studies
- Biochemical and molecular assays
- Environmental analysis and trace detection
- Pharmaceutical and material science research

About Fused Fabrication
Fused quartz cuvettes are manufactured by sintering quartz powder at high temperatures, providing:
- Thermal resistance up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Excellent optical clarity and UV transparency.
- Stable path length tolerance (±0.06 – 0.08 mm).
Usage Notes
- Fused seams may stain or discolor after repeated use.
- Not suitable for long-term sample storage.
- Do not use with: hydrofluoric acid (HF), toluene, acetone, or other aggressive organic solvents, which can shorten the cuvette’s lifespan.
Note: For experiments involving aggressive solvents or extended storage, molded quartz cuvettes offer better durability and chemical resistance.

| Note | Molded and fused cuvettes and cells are assembled by direct fusion without the use of adhesives throughout the production process. This guarantees resistance against corrosive chemicals and high temperature. Each quartz cuvette and cell has excellent transmission from 190nm to 2500nm. | ||||
