Description
VFPFS1 – 0.35 mL Semi-Micro Quartz Cuvette (Fused, 1 mm Width, 4 Windows, Stopper)
The VFPFS1 is a precision-engineered semi-micro quartz cuvette designed specifically for fluorescence spectroscopy. With a narrow 1 mm internal width and 4 optical windows, it minimizes sample volume while ensuring optimal light transmission for excitation and emission detection. Its fused fabrication ensures high optical clarity, stable path length, and exceptional temperature resistance.
Key Features
- Sample volume: 0.35 mL — excellent for low-volume, high-sensitivity fluorescence experiments.
- 1 mm internal width: ideal for precious or limited samples.
- 4 optical windows: enables both excitation and emission detection at right angles.
- Fused fabrication: assembled with quartz powder, resistant up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Path length tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- Wavelength range: UV/VIS (190 – 2500 nm).
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy
- Excitation-emission studies
- Biochemical and molecular analysis
- Trace-level detection in pharmaceutical and environmental research

About Fused Fabrication
Fused quartz cuvettes are manufactured by sintering quartz powder at high temperatures, offering:
- Thermal resistance up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- High optical clarity and UV transparency.
- Stable path length tolerance (±0.06 – 0.08 mm).
Usage notes:
- Fused seams may stain or discolor after repeated use.
- Not suitable for long-term sample storage.
- Do not use with: hydrofluoric acid (HF), toluene, acetone, or other aggressive organic solvents, which can significantly shorten the cuvette’s lifespan.
Note: For experiments involving aggressive solvents or extended storage, molded quartz cuvettes offer better durability and chemical resistance.
