Description
VFOB100N Sub Micro Fluorescence Cuvette (3-Windows, All Black)
The VFOB100N is a sub-micro quartz fluorescence cuvette optimized for high-sensitivity fluorescence and absorbance measurements with small sample volumes. It has a 10 mm optical pathlength and requires only 100 µL of sample, making it ideal for experiments involving limited or expensive biological or chemical samples. The all-black walls significantly reduce stray light, while the 3-window design supports efficient excitation and detection geometry.
Key Features
- 100 µL working volume — minimizes sample consumption while maintaining sensitivity.
- 10 mm optical pathlength — compatible with most standard fluorescence and UV/VIS instruments.
- 3-window design — optimized for fluorescence excitation and emission measurements.
- All-black walls — effectively block stray light and improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
- Bonded fabrication — economical and customizable, suitable for aqueous and mild buffer solutions.
- PTFE lid — helps minimize evaporation and contamination during measurements.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy with micro- or trace-volume samples
- Protein, DNA, RNA quantification
- Enzyme kinetics
- Low concentration analyte detection
Bonded Fabrication Notes
- Recommended for aqueous and mild buffer solutions.
- Not suitable for HF, strong acids/bases, or strong organic solvents.
- Advantages: low cost, fast production, flexible customization.
- Optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- For harsh chemical conditions, consider fused or molded quartz cuvettes.
