Description
VAOB10D Customized Sub Micro Absorption Cuvette (All Black, 8 mm Height)
The VAOB10D is a custom ultra-low-profile sub-micro absorption cuvette specially engineered for applications where both sample volume and vertical space are extremely limited.
It features a total height of only 8 mm — much shorter than standard cuvettes — making it ideal for integration with compact optical setups, custom instruments, or micro-beam configurations.
With a 100 µL working volume, 10 mm optical pathlength, and all-black wall design, it provides precise light control and minimizes reflection and stray light during sensitive UV/VIS absorbance measurements.
Key Features
- Customized ultra-short design (8 mm height) — fits restricted optical benches and low-profile sample stages.
- 100 µL working volume — ideal for micro-sample absorption analysis.
- 10 mm optical pathlength — standard for UV/VIS spectrophotometry compatibility.
- All-black wall structure — minimizes internal reflection, improves signal stability, and reduces noise.
- Bonded fabrication — economical and customizable, suitable for aqueous and mild buffer solutions.
- Compact and stable geometry — enhances repeatability in automated or modular systems.
Typical Applications
- Micro-volume UV/VIS absorption measurements
- Custom spectroscopic modules and compact instruments
- DNA/RNA quantification in confined systems
- Low-light and stray-light-sensitive optical analysis
Bonded Fabrication Notes
- Best suited for aqueous and mild buffer solutions.
- Not recommended for HF, strong acids/bases, or aggressive organic solvents.
- Advantages: fast prototyping, low fabrication cost, and flexible dimension customization.
- Optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- For strong chemical compatibility, choose fused or molded quartz cuvettes.
