Description
VASM95 – 3.5 mL Standard Absorption Cuvette with Inner Screw Cap (Molded, 10 mm Lightpath, 2 Windows)
The VASM95 is a molded quartz absorption cuvette with a 10 mm optical path length and a 3.5 mL sample volume. It features an inner screw cap for improved sealing, making it more secure than a standard PTFE lid. This design minimizes evaporation and is suitable for anaerobic and oxygen-sensitive applications. With molded fabrication, it offers exceptional dimensional accuracy and chemical durability.
Key Features
- 10 mm optical path length: standard for most UV/VIS spectrophotometers.
- 2 clear optical windows: optimized for high transmission and accurate absorbance measurements.
- Inner screw cap: provides tighter sealing compared to PTFE lids, reducing evaporation and oxygen ingress.
- Molded fabrication: top precision with pathlength tolerance of ±0.01 mm, offering the highest optical quality.
- Wavelength range: 190–2500 nm (UV/VIS).
- Temperature resistance: −60 °C (−76 °F) to 1200 °C (2192 °F).
- Chemical compatibility: resistant to most acids, bases, and strong organic solvents including toluene and acetone; not suitable for HF.
- Packaging: foam and bubble wrap; drop-tested from 1 meter before shipment.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy
- Anaerobic and oxygen-sensitive measurements
- Environmental and chemical analysis
- Routine laboratory absorbance testing
