Description

VAOF56 – 1.5 mL Customized Short Height Quartz Absorption Cuvette (Fused, 10 mm Lightpath, 2 Windows)

The VAOF56 is a short-height fused quartz absorption cuvette with a standard 10 mm optical path length and 1.5 mL volume.
It is manufactured using Fused Fabrication (assembled with quartz powder), which provides excellent temperature and chemical resistance.
The 20 mm height makes it ideal for low sample levels or compact optical setups.

Key Features

  • Short height (20 mm): perfect for compact instruments and low sample volume measurements.
  • 10 mm optical path length: compatible with standard UV/VIS spectrophotometers.
  • Fused Fabrication: high temperature resistance and stable optical performance.
  • Wavelength range: UV/VIS (190–2500 nm).
  • Heat resistance: up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
  • Chemical resistance: resistant to acids, bases, and many organic solvents — NOT suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents.
  • Pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm (typical for fused and bonded cuvettes).
  • Protective packaging: foam and bubble wrap; passed 1 m drop test.

Typical Applications

  • UV/VIS absorbance measurements
  • High-temperature experiments
  • Chemical and solvent resistance testing
  • Pharmaceutical, biochemical, and R&D laboratories

About Fused Fabrication

  • Made from quartz powder fused at high temperature.
  • Excellent thermal resistance up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
  • Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or other strong organic solvents.
  • May stain at assembly seams; not suitable for long-term storage of samples.
  • Shorter service life under harsh solvent conditions.
  • Pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.

Resistance & Packaging Notes

  • Resistant to heat up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
  • Chemically resistant to most acids and bases (except HF and strong organics).
  • Packed with foam and bubble wrap — passed 1 m drop test before shipment.

Note: Fused fabrication cuvettes are ideal for high-temperature and general chemical resistance applications. However, their service life may be reduced when exposed to strong organic solvents, and long-term sample storage is not recommended.

Why QVARZ Cuvettes and Cells?

QVARZ is world-renowned as the producer of premium quartz cuvettes. Over fifteen years of experience manufacturing quartz cuvettes ensures that every QVARZ cuvettes are manufactured to the most exacting standards for reproducible results.

  • Spectrophotometry cuvettes - Most spectrophotometry applications in the visible and UV ranges benefit from QVARZ spectrophotometry cuvettes. Our cuvettes made of fused quartz material deliver precise and reliable readings even at wavelengths as low as 190 nm. QVARZ cuvettes are compatible with most spectrophotometers and photometers with standard 0.2 - 100 mm path lengths.

  • Fluorometry cuvettes - QVARZ brings two decades of experience molding high-quality spectrophotometry cuvettes to new four-sided clear cuvettes for fluorometry. Available in standard quartz material with ultra-low auto-fluorescence for the highest precision measurements.

  • Protective packaging - QVARZ cuvettes are encased in dust-free, low scratching expanded polystyrene packaging. This ensures that premium cuvettes arrive in the laboratory ina the same pristine condition they were in at the factory, with optical quality windows and free of contaminants.

  • Volumes for most purposes - Our cuvettes are available in a variety of ranges from macro to macro semi-micro sizes to respond to the needs of most scientific applications. We are also able to customize sample volume to deliver consistent, accurate findings.

  • Perform consistently - QVARZ Cuvettes are constructed from high-quality fused quartz materials and are grouped by manufacturing mold cavities to ensure the lowest fluctuation in extinction coefficient.

  • Customization - Custom cuvettes and cells are encouraged and available upon request; mechanical drawings with specifications and tolerances are prerequisites. Awesome pricing and flexibility on small quantities.
