Description
VAOF11 Fused Quartz Absorption Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 12 mm optical path length and an 11 ml volume. It features a wide clear wall design, ideal for UV/VIS absorbance measurements that require stable optical transmission and strong chemical resistance. Fused fabrication ensures excellent thermal durability and resistance to most acids and bases, making it suitable for demanding laboratory applications.
Key Features
- 12 mm optical path length — provides good sensitivity for UV/VIS absorbance measurements.
- 2-window design — optimized for standard straight-beam absorbance spectroscopy.
- Fused fabrication — high thermal resistance up to 600 °C, stable in most acidic and basic conditions.
- Wide wall geometry — ensures stable light transmission with low background interference.
- Broad wavelength range — 190 – 2500 nm, suitable for UV/VIS and NIR applications.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorbance and transmission studies.
- Protein and nucleic acid quantification at 260/280 nm.
- Environmental analysis for nitrates and phosphates.
- Kinetic studies and routine lab assays.
- Quality control in chemical and pharmaceutical labs.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Fused fabrication provides excellent resistance to most acids and bases.
- Not suitable for hydrofluoric acid (HF) or strong organic solvents such as toluene and acetone.
- Powder seams may discolor over time but do not affect optical performance.
- Path length tolerance typically ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
