Description

VP010 – 4.5 mL Disposable Standard Fluorescence Cuvette (Polystyrene, 10 mm Lightpath, 4 Windows)

The VP010 is a disposable fluorescence cuvette made of high-quality polystyrene, designed for routine measurements in the visible range (340–750 nm). With a standard 10 mm optical path length and 4 optically clear windows, it provides reliable optical performance for fluorescence and absorbance applications at a low cost. These cuvettes are ideal for high-throughput experiments, teaching laboratories, and general-purpose assays where reusability is not required. Disposable plastic construction eliminates the need for cleaning and reduces the risk of cross-contamination between samples.

Key Features

  • 10 mm optical path length: standard format compatible with most spectrophotometers and fluorometers.
  • 4 optical windows: suitable for fluorescence measurements with 90° detection geometry.
  • Material: made of polystyrene (PS) with good optical clarity in the visible range (340–750 nm).
  • Cost-effective solution: disposable design eliminates cleaning, saves time, and prevents cross-contamination.
  • Sample volume: 4.5 mL total volume, suitable for routine assays and educational use.
  • Packaging: supplied with lids; not all sets include packaging accessories.

Typical Applications

  • Visible-range fluorescence and absorbance measurements
  • Biological and biochemical assays
  • High-throughput screening
  • Teaching and training laboratories
  • General-purpose routine testing

About Disposable Plastic Cuvettes

  • Made from optical-grade polystyrene for excellent visible light transmission.
  • Not suitable for UV measurements below 340 nm.
  • For aqueous and mild buffer solutions only; not recommended for strong acids, bases, or organic solvents.
  • Disposable use prevents contamination and eliminates the need for cleaning.

Note: VP010 cuvettes are designed for general-purpose visible-range measurements. For UV or strong solvent compatibility, quartz cuvettes are recommended.
