- Type: Fused
Description
VLFPT Flow Cell is a high-performance quartz flow cell specifically designed for fluorescence spectroscopy and other optical measurements requiring clean, stable, and reliable transmission. It features a 10 mm optical path length and a 3.5 mL internal volume, making it ideal for medium-to-large flow applications where signal stability is critical.
This model uses fused fabrication, which involves assembling with quartz powder under high temperatures — without any adhesives. This ensures good optical quality and chemical resistance while maintaining structural integrity. The PTFE connectors provide excellent chemical compatibility and secure fluid connections for continuous-flow analysis.
Fused Fabrication Features
- Excellent optical transmission from 190–2500 nm.
- No adhesives used — providing clean, inert flow channels.
- Can withstand up to 600 °C during long-term use.
- Good resistance to most acids and bases (except HF).
- Important: Not recommended for long-term sample storage. Aggressive organics such as toluene, acetone or similar solvents may stain or degrade the seams.
- Path length tolerance: ±0.06–0.08 mm.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy
- LC and process flow detection systems
- Environmental and chemical analysis
- OEM optical instruments
