Description
VFOB50 Sub Micro Fluorescence Cuvette (3-Windows, All Black)
The VFOB50 is a sub-micro quartz fluorescence cuvette designed for applications where sample volume is extremely limited.
With a 10 mm optical pathlength and only 50 µL working volume, it is ideal for sensitive fluorescence measurements requiring minimal sample use.
The 3-window configuration provides efficient excitation and emission pathways, while the all-black wall design minimizes stray light for superior signal-to-noise performance.
Key Features
- 50 µL sample volume — optimized for sub-micro assays and precious samples.
- 10 mm optical pathlength — compatible with most standard fluorometers and spectrophotometers.
- 3-window geometry — ideal for excitation and emission fluorescence measurements.
- All-black walls — effectively suppress background and improve measurement sensitivity.
- Bonded fabrication — cost-effective, customizable, suitable for aqueous and mild buffer solutions.
- PTFE lid — minimizes evaporation and contamination during measurements.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy with limited sample volumes
- Protein, DNA, RNA quantification
- Biochemical and enzyme assays
- Trace and low concentration analysis
Bonded Fabrication Notes
- Recommended for aqueous and mild buffer solutions.
- Not compatible with HF, strong acids/bases, or aggressive organic solvents.
- Advantages: low cost, fast turnaround, and flexible customization.
- Optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- For solvent compatibility and durability, consider fused or molded quartz cuvettes.
