Description
VAPBH3 – 1.05 mL Semi-Micro Quartz Cuvette (Bonded, 3 mm Width, 2 Windows, Black Walls, PTFE Stopper)
The VAPBH3 is a high-quality bonded quartz cuvette designed for UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy.
Featuring a 3 mm internal width and a standard 10 mm light path, it is ideal for moderate volume applications requiring stable and precise measurements.
The black walls effectively suppress stray light, improving signal-to-noise ratio for low absorbance or light-sensitive samples.
Key Features
- Sample volume: 1.05 mL — suitable for semi-micro applications.
- 10 mm optical path length: standard for most UV/VIS spectrophotometers.
- 3 mm internal width: ideal balance between sensitivity and sample usage.
- Black walls: minimize reflection and enhance measurement precision.
- Bonded fabrication: cost-effective and flexible, with path length tolerance of ±0.06–0.08 mm.
- Wavelength range: UV/VIS (190 – 2500 nm).
Typical Applications
- Protein and enzyme quantification
- UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy with moderate sample volumes
- Pharmaceutical and chemical assays
- Low absorbance and light-sensitive measurements

About Bonded Fabrication
Bonded quartz cuvettes are made by assembling precision-polished quartz plates. This method:
- Offers fast turnaround time and lower cost.
- Delivers path length tolerance of approximately ±0.06–0.08 mm.
- Is best suited for aqueous solutions and general lab use.
Usage Notes
- Ideal for routine UV/VIS assays with moderate sample volumes.
- Black walls reduce noise and improve measurement stability.
- Not recommended for strong organic solvents or extended chemical exposure.
Note: Bonded cuvettes are ideal for cost-sensitive applications that still require good precision. For improved chemical durability, molded cuvettes are recommended.
