Description
VAPB100 Sub Micro Absorption Cuvette with PTFE Stopper
The VAPB100 is an airtight sub-micro quartz cuvette designed for UV/VIS absorption measurements with limited sample volumes.
It features a 10 mm optical pathlength and 100 µL volume, making it ideal for high-sensitivity assays and low-sample applications.
The all-black wall minimizes stray light, while the PTFE stopper ensures an airtight seal, reducing evaporation and sample contamination.
Key Features
- 100 µL working volume — efficient use of precious or limited samples.
- 10 mm optical pathlength — standard compatibility with UV/VIS spectrophotometers.
- All-black wall — effectively suppresses stray light and enhances signal-to-noise ratio.
- PTFE stopper — airtight sealing minimizes evaporation and prevents sample contamination.
- 2 optical windows — optimized for straight-path absorbance detection.
- Bonded fabrication — cost-effective and customizable, best for aqueous or mild buffer solutions.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorbance of low-concentration samples
- Protein and nucleic acid quantification
- Enzyme kinetics and biochemical assays
- Evaporation-sensitive experiments and long acquisition measurements
Bonded Fabrication Notes
- Recommended for aqueous and mild buffer solutions only.
- Not suitable for HF, strong acids/bases, strong organic solvents, or prolonged high-temperature conditions.
- Advantages: low cost, fast customization, and short delivery time.
- Typical optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- Bond seams may discolor with strongly staining samples. For higher solvent resistance and durability, consider fused or molded cuvettes.
