Description
VAOFIB – 3.5 mL Standard Absorption Cuvette (Fused, 10 mm Lightpath, 2 Windows)
The VAOFIB is a fused quartz absorption cuvette with a 10 mm optical path length and a 3.5 mL sample volume. It comes with a PTFE lid, which helps minimize evaporation and contamination during regular measurements. The Fused Fabrication design provides reliable optical performance, excellent thermal stability, and broad chemical resistance, making this cuvette suitable for a wide range of UV/VIS spectroscopy applications.
Key Features
- 10 mm optical path length: standard size for UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy.
- 2 optical windows: designed for high-clarity transmission in absorbance measurements.
- PTFE lid: offers basic protection against evaporation and dust contamination (not airtight or anaerobic grade).
- Fused fabrication: reliable optical quality with good thermal and chemical resistance.
- Wavelength range: 190–2500 nm (UV/VIS).
- Thermal resistance: up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Chemical compatibility: resistant to most acids and bases; not suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, or strong organic solvents.
- Pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
- Secure packaging: foam and bubble wrap; drop-tested from 1 meter before shipment.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy
- Routine laboratory absorbance testing
- General chemical and environmental analysis

About Fused Fabrication
- Made by assembling quartz powder at high temperature.
- Heat resistant up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or aggressive organic solvents.
- Powder-fused seams may stain; not recommended for long-term sample storage.
- Typical pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
Note: VAOFIB is a durable fused quartz cuvette designed for standard absorption measurements. The PTFE lid provides basic coverage but is not suitable for anaerobic or oxygen-sensitive experiments.
