- Type: Bonded, For Aqueous Samples Only
Description
VAOB50 – 50 μL Sub-Micro Quartz Cuvette (Bonded, All Black, 2 Windows)
The VAOB50 is a sub-micro quartz cuvette designed for absorption spectroscopy with extremely small sample volumes. With an all-black wall design to minimize stray light and a 2 × 2.5 mm aperture, this cuvette delivers stable and precise results for trace-level aqueous measurements.
Key Features
- Ultra-low sample volume: only 50 μL, ideal for precious or limited aqueous samples.
- All black walls: effectively minimize stray light and improve S/N ratio.
- Bonded fabrication: fast customization, lower cost, and suitable for standard aqueous sample measurements.
- 2-window design: optimized for absorbance and transmission measurements.
- 10 mm optical path length: standard for most UV/VIS spectrophotometers.
- PTFE lid: helps minimize evaporation and contamination during sensitive testing.
- Wavelength range: UV/VIS (190 – 2500 nm).
Typical Applications
- Absorbance and transmission of aqueous solutions
- Trace analysis with limited sample volume
- Life science and biochemical assays
- Water-based pharmaceutical or environmental testing

About Bonded Fabrication
Bonded quartz cuvettes are produced by precision optical bonding, which makes them:
- Best suited for aqueous samples only (not compatible with aggressive organic solvents).
- Fast and flexible to customize, with lower production cost.
- Good optical clarity and stable path length tolerance of ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.
Note: For experiments involving aggressive organic solvents or long-term chemical exposure, molded cuvettes are recommended for superior durability and chemical resistance.
