$109.00
This large cuvette is for absorption applications, with a path length of 50 mm. Resistant to most chemicals. Use up to 600°C. The price is for 1 piece.
- Type: Fused
Description
VAFL50N Fused Quartz Cuvette is a 2-window large-capacity cuvette designed for high-sensitivity absorbance measurements with a 50 mm optical path length and 132 ml volume.
Made from high-purity fused quartz, it is well suited for trace detection, environmental monitoring, and analytical applications that require long path lengths to enhance absorbance signals.
Key Features
- 50 mm optical path — dramatically improves sensitivity for low-concentration measurements, making weak signals measurable.
- 2-window design — ideal for absorbance, transmission, and spectrophotometric testing.
- Fused quartz construction — can withstand high temperatures (up to 600 °C) and most chemicals (except HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organics).
- Large 132 ml capacity — supports bulk sample testing and industrial or environmental analysis.
- High transmission across the 190–2500 nm wavelength range, suitable for UV/VIS/NIR applications.
Typical Applications
- Trace analysis and low-concentration absorbance measurements.
- Water quality and environmental monitoring (e.g., nitrates, phosphates, heavy metals).
- Industrial process and chemical analysis with large sample volumes.
- UV-VIS spectroscopy in research and production environments.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Can be heated to 600 °C without deformation.
- Assembled with quartz powder — slight surface coloration may occur with certain dyes or aggressive solvents.
- Not suitable for long-term sample storage.
- Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents — using these will shorten cuvette lifespan.
