This large cuvette is for absorption applications, with a path length of 40 mm. Resistant to most chemicals. Use up to 600°C. The price is for 1 piece.
- Type: Fused
Description
VAFL40N Fused Quartz Cuvette is a 2-window long-path cuvette with a 40 mm optical path length and 70 ml volume.
This large-capacity cuvette is made from high-purity fused quartz and is optimized for UV/VIS absorbance measurements where higher sensitivity and precision are required.
Key Features
- 40 mm optical path — increases absorbance sensitivity, enabling accurate detection of low-concentration analytes.
- 2-window design — ideal for transmission and absorbance measurements.
- Fused quartz fabrication — provides excellent thermal resistance (up to 600 °C) and high chemical durability (except HF and certain strong organic solvents).
- 70 ml volume — suitable for applications requiring larger sample volumes, such as environmental or process analysis.
- High transmittance across the 190–2500 nm wavelength range, ideal for UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy.
Typical Applications
- Trace detection of pollutants or chemical species.
- Absorbance and transmission spectroscopy in environmental monitoring.
- Industrial or process analysis with medium-to-large sample volumes.
- High-sensitivity research and QA/QC testing.
Fused Fabrication Notes
- Can be heated to 600 °C without deformation.
- Assembled using quartz powder; surface may be slightly stained with strong dyes or solvents over time.
- Not intended for long-term storage of samples.
- Not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or other aggressive organic solvents — these can reduce cuvette lifespan.
