Description

VG027 – 0.35 mL Glass Absorption Cuvette (Fused, 1 mm Path Length, 2 Windows, With Lid)

The VG027 is a precision-made optical glass cuvette designed for absorption spectroscopy in the visible and near-infrared range.
With a 1 mm optical path length, it is ideal for high-concentration or strongly absorbing samples, minimizing signal saturation while maintaining excellent optical accuracy.
The cuvette’s fused glass construction provides superior durability and consistent transmission performance.

Key Features

  • Sample volume: 0.35 mL — perfect for applications with small sample volumes.
  • 1 mm optical path length: best suited for highly concentrated solutions and strong absorbers.
  • 2 optical windows: precision polished for clear light transmission.
  • Optical glass material: excellent transmission in the visible to NIR range (350–2000 nm).
  • Fused fabrication: durable, chemically stable structure for repeated use.
  • Wavelength range: VIS (350 – 2000 nm).

Typical Applications

  • High-concentration solution measurements
  • Visible and NIR absorption spectroscopy
  • Colorimetric and process control applications
  • Routine lab and QA/QC measurements

About Glass Cuvettes

Glass cuvettes are a cost-effective and stable solution for routine VIS/NIR spectroscopy:

  • Excellent optical clarity in 350–2000 nm range.
  • Stable fused construction, resistant to most aqueous solutions.
  • Ideal for visible and NIR measurements.
  • Not suitable for UV spectroscopy below 350 nm.

Usage Notes

  • Best for highly concentrated samples to avoid oversaturation.
  • Compatible with standard spectrophotometer holders.
  • Not recommended for aggressive acids or solvents.

Note: Glass cuvettes are excellent for visible/NIR work. For UV applications, quartz cuvettes are recommended.
