Description

VG024 – 0.7 mL Glass Absorption Cuvette (Fused, 2 mm Path Length, 2 Windows, With Lid)

The VG024 is a precision optical glass cuvette engineered for absorption spectroscopy in the visible and near-infrared ranges.
With a 2 mm optical path length, it is ideal for measuring high-concentration samples or when signal attenuation needs to be minimized.
The fused construction ensures excellent stability, solvent resistance, and long service life, making it a reliable choice for routine laboratory measurements.

Key Features

  • Sample volume: 0.7 mL — suitable for limited sample availability.
  • 2 mm optical path length: perfect for high-concentration or strongly absorbing solutions.
  • 2 optical windows: precision polished for accurate light transmission.
  • Optical glass material: transparent in the visible to NIR range (350–2000 nm).
  • Fused fabrication: ensures dimensional stability and reliable optical alignment.
  • Wavelength range: VIS (350 – 2000 nm).

Typical Applications

  • High concentration solution measurements
  • Visible and NIR absorption spectroscopy
  • Colorimetric and routine assay analysis
  • QA/QC testing and process monitoring

About Glass Cuvettes

Glass cuvettes provide a cost-effective and stable option for routine spectroscopy:

  • Excellent transparency in 350–2000 nm range.
  • Durable fused construction with good chemical resistance.
  • Ideal for visible and NIR applications.
  • Not suitable for UV measurements below 350 nm.

Usage Notes

  • Ideal for high concentration samples where short path length avoids saturation.
  • Compatible with most standard spectrophotometer holders.
  • Not recommended for aggressive solvents or strong acids/alkalis.

Note: Glass cuvettes are economical and reliable for VIS/NIR spectroscopy. For UV measurements, quartz cuvettes are recommended.
