Description

VG023 – 1.05 mL Glass Absorption Cuvette (Fused, 3 mm Path Length, 2 Windows, With Lid)

The VG023 is a compact and precise optical glass cuvette designed for absorption spectroscopy in the visible and near-infrared regions.
With a 3 mm optical path length and a 10 mm internal width, it’s particularly suitable for high-concentration samples, minimizing absorbance saturation while maintaining accurate measurements.
Its fused glass construction ensures durability and stable optical performance for routine laboratory work.

Key Features

  • Sample volume: 1.05 mL — ideal for moderate sample use.
  • 3 mm optical path length: reduces absorbance for higher concentration samples.
  • 2 optical windows: polished surfaces for precise light transmission.
  • Optical glass material: excellent transmission in the visible–NIR range (350–2000 nm).
  • Fused fabrication: stable structure and good chemical resistance for most aqueous solutions.
  • Wavelength range: VIS (350 – 2000 nm).

Typical Applications

  • Visible/NIR absorption spectroscopy
  • Colorimetric assays with high concentration samples
  • Routine lab and educational measurements
  • Process and QC monitoring

About Glass Cuvettes

Glass cuvettes are cost-effective and reliable for routine laboratory work:

  • Excellent transmission in 350–2000 nm range.
  • Ideal for visible light measurements and NIR applications.
  • Durable fused construction with stable optical alignment.
  • Not suitable for UV measurements below 350 nm.

Usage Notes

  • Best for high concentration samples where shorter path length is preferred.
  • Not recommended for aggressive solvents or strong acid/alkali exposure.
  • Compatible with most standard spectrophotometer holders.

Note: Glass cuvettes are an economical and durable choice for visible range spectroscopy. For UV work, quartz cuvettes are recommended.
