Description
VFPFC55 – 5 × 5 mm Optical Path Micro Quartz Cuvette (Fused, 4 Windows, PTFE Stopper)
The VFPFC55 is a high-precision fused quartz cuvette with a 5 × 5 mm optical path and four clear windows, designed for fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy.
Its compact internal volume of 875 μL and integrated PTFE stopper make it ideal for sensitive experiments that require minimizing evaporation or contamination.
Key Features
- 5 × 5 mm optical path: provides balanced sensitivity and low sample consumption.
- Four clear windows: enables side detection and excitation/emission flexibility for fluorescence measurements.
- Fused fabrication: withstands temperatures up to 600 °C (1112 °F) and delivers excellent UV/VIS transmission.
- PTFE stopper: prevents evaporation and contamination during sensitive measurements.
- Chemical compatibility: resistant to most acids and bases, but not compatible with HF, toluene, acetone, or other strong organic solvents that can reduce cuvette lifespan.
- Optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm for stable and reproducible readings.
- Wavelength range: UV/VIS (190 – 2500 nm).
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy with side detection
- Sample protection with stopper to reduce evaporation
- Environmental, life science, and pharmaceutical research
- Trace analysis requiring low volume and stable optics

About Fused Fabrication
Fused quartz cuvettes are manufactured through quartz powder sintering, providing:
- Temperature resistance up to 600 °C (1112 °F)
- Excellent UV/VIS optical clarity
- Resistance to most acids and bases
- Not suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents
- Potential seam staining if used for long-term sample storage
- Optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm
Note: For experiments involving aggressive organic solvents or long-term storage, molded cuvettes may offer better durability.
