- Type: Molded
Description
VAOMI10 Molded Quartz IR Cuvette is a 2-window IR cuvette with a 10 mm optical path length and 3.5 ml internal volume.
This standard-size cell is widely used in IR and UV/VIS absorbance applications. The molded fabrication offers tighter optical path tolerance and better surface finish, ensuring higher reproducibility in routine spectroscopy. The round base provides broad instrument compatibility, and the PTFE lid offers light coverage for basic protection during measurement.
Key Features
- 10 mm optical path — the most commonly used standard for IR and UV/VIS absorbance measurements.
- 2-window configuration — optimized for transmission experiments with high signal stability.
- Molded fabrication — ensures precise path length and excellent surface quality, suitable for high-accuracy applications.
- PTFE lid — provides basic protection against evaporation and contamination during testing.
- High purity quartz — wide spectral range (250 – 3500 nm), strong resistance to acid and base, and good solvent compatibility.
Typical Applications
- Standard IR and UV/VIS absorbance spectroscopy.
- Routine chemical and environmental analysis.
- Applications requiring high precision in optical path length and signal repeatability.
- Use in solvent-resistant and high-temperature testing environments.
Molded Fabrication Notes
- Produced by molding for precise optical dimensions and smooth internal surfaces.
- Suitable for routine and high-precision spectroscopy.
- PTFE lid is for basic sealing only, not for oxygen isolation or long-term volatile storage.
- Compatible with most solvents except HF and other highly aggressive chemicals.
