The VAOFC44 is a custom fused quartz semi-micro cuvette with a 4 mm optical path and 4 × 4 mm internal aperture, designed for UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy requiring moderate path length and low sample volume.
With an internal volume of 560 μL and an open-top design, it offers flexibility and easy handling for various analytical and research applications.

- 4 mm optical path: suitable for medium-absorbance measurements, especially for moderately concentrated samples.
- Fused fabrication: withstands temperatures up to 600 °C (1112 °F) and provides excellent UV/VIS transmission.
- Quartz powder assembly: seams may stain after extended sample contact; not recommended for long-term storage.
- Chemical resistance: compatible with most acids and bases but not suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, or other aggressive organic solvents — these can shorten cuvette lifespan.

Fused quartz cuvettes are manufactured through high-purity quartz powder sintering, offering:
- Temperature resistance up to 600 °C (1112 °F)
- Excellent UV/VIS optical clarity
- Resistance to most acids and bases
- Unsuitability for HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents
- Potential seam staining if samples are stored long term
- Pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm
Note: For experiments involving aggressive organic solvents or long-term storage, molded cuvettes may offer better durability.
