Description
VAOFC35 – Custom Semi-Micro Absorption Cuvette (Fused, Short Height 35 mm, 3 mm Width, 2 Windows, Open Top)
The VAOFC35 is a short-height fused quartz cuvette designed for absorption spectroscopy with limited vertical clearance.
With a total height of only 35 mm, a 10 mm optical path, and a narrow 3 mm width, it provides reliable performance for small-volume, high-precision measurements.
Key Features
- Short 35 mm height: perfect for compact or benchtop instruments with height constraints.
- Fused fabrication: can withstand temperatures up to 600 °C (1112 °F), ideal for demanding analytical environments.
- Manufactured using quartz powder assembly, which may cause slight staining at seams; long-term sample storage is not recommended.
- Chemical resistance: resistant to most acids and bases, but not suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, and other aggressive organic solvents — these can significantly shorten cuvette lifespan.
- Optical path tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm for stable measurement accuracy.
- Open-top design for convenient filling and cleaning.
- UV/VIS wavelength range: 190–2500 nm.
Typical Applications
- UV/VIS absorption spectroscopy with limited instrument height
- Low-volume sample measurements
- Pharmaceutical, environmental, and chemical analysis
- High-temperature or special solvent experiments

About Fused Fabrication
Fused quartz cuvettes are assembled from high-purity quartz powder, providing:
- Temperature resistance up to 600 °C (1112 °F)
- Excellent UV/VIS transmission performance
- Resistance to most acids and bases
- Unsuitability for HF, toluene, acetone, and other strong organic solvents
- Possible seam staining with long-term sample exposure
- Pathlength tolerance: ±0.06 – 0.08 mm
Note: For experiments involving strong organic solvents or extended sample storage, bonded cuvettes may be a more durable choice.
