Description

VAOB13 Bonded Quartz Absorption Cuvette is a 2-window cuvette with a 1 mm optical path length and a 1.3 ml volume.
It features an ultra-short path length and wide clear wall design, making it ideal for high-concentration sample analysis and specialized UV/VIS applications.
As part of our extensive line of custom quartz cuvettes, this model can be tailored to meet specific experimental or instrument requirements.

Key Features

  • 1 mm optical path length — ideal for high-concentration samples and applications requiring short path lengths to prevent signal saturation.
  • 2-window design — optimized for straight-beam UV/VIS absorbance spectroscopy.
  • Bonded fabrication — provides a cost-effective option with stable performance for most aqueous and mild solvent applications.
  • Ultra-thin design — compact and precise, suitable for high-precision analytical work.
  • Broad wavelength range — 190 – 2500 nm, suitable for UV/VIS and NIR applications.

Typical Applications

  • High-concentration UV/VIS absorbance measurements.
  • Protein and nucleic acid quantification at 260/280 nm.
  • Environmental and chemical analysis.
  • Industrial QC testing and R&D.
  • Custom instrument integration for specialized experiments.

Bonded Fabrication Notes

  • Bonded fabrication is economical and reliable for standard use.
  • Not recommended for high-temperature applications or aggressive organic solvents.
  • Ideal for aqueous and mild solvent environments.
  • Typical path length tolerance is ±0.06 – 0.08 mm.

Customization Options

  • This model is part of our custom cuvette line and can be customized for:
    • Path length (0.2 mm to 100 mm)
    • Volume and chamber dimensions
    • Additional ports (inlet/outlet) or sealing options
    • Special coatings or polishing specifications
  • OEM and instrument-specific customization available upon request.

Why QVARZ Cuvettes and Cells?

QVARZ is world-renowned as the producer of premium quartz cuvettes. Over fifteen years of experience manufacturing quartz cuvettes ensures that every QVARZ cuvettes are manufactured to the most exacting standards for reproducible results.

  • Spectrophotometry cuvettes - Most spectrophotometry applications in the visible and UV ranges benefit from QVARZ spectrophotometry cuvettes. Our cuvettes made of fused quartz material deliver precise and reliable readings even at wavelengths as low as 190 nm. QVARZ cuvettes are compatible with most spectrophotometers and photometers with standard 0.2 - 100 mm path lengths.

  • Fluorometry cuvettes - QVARZ brings two decades of experience molding high-quality spectrophotometry cuvettes to new four-sided clear cuvettes for fluorometry. Available in standard quartz material with ultra-low auto-fluorescence for the highest precision measurements.

  • Protective packaging - QVARZ cuvettes are encased in dust-free, low scratching expanded polystyrene packaging. This ensures that premium cuvettes arrive in the laboratory ina the same pristine condition they were in at the factory, with optical quality windows and free of contaminants.

  • Volumes for most purposes - Our cuvettes are available in a variety of ranges from macro to macro semi-micro sizes to respond to the needs of most scientific applications. We are also able to customize sample volume to deliver consistent, accurate findings.

  • Perform consistently - QVARZ Cuvettes are constructed from high-quality fused quartz materials and are grouped by manufacturing mold cavities to ensure the lowest fluctuation in extinction coefficient.

  • Customization - Custom cuvettes and cells are encouraged and available upon request; mechanical drawings with specifications and tolerances are prerequisites. Awesome pricing and flexibility on small quantities.
