Description
VG031 – 35 mL Glass Absorption Cuvette (Fused, 100 mm Path Length, 2 Windows, With Lid)
The VG031 is a long-path optical glass cuvette designed for absorption spectroscopy in the visible and near-infrared regions.
With a 100 mm optical path length, it significantly increases sensitivity and enables detection of low-concentration analytes.
Its fused construction ensures mechanical stability, long service life, and reliable optical alignment for precision measurements.
Key Features
- Sample volume: 35 mL — suitable for long-path, high-sensitivity measurements.
- 100 mm optical path length: ideal for trace analysis and extended absorbance measurements.
- 2 optical windows: high-quality polish for low scattering and high transmission.
- Optical glass material: excellent performance in the visible to NIR range (350–2000 nm).
- Fused fabrication: provides stability and good chemical resistance for repeated use.
- Wavelength range: VIS (350 – 2000 nm).
Typical Applications
- Trace and ultra-trace concentration measurements
- Environmental monitoring (e.g., nitrates, phosphates)
- Colorimetric analysis requiring extended path lengths
- Routine laboratory and QA/QC spectroscopy

About Long-Path Glass Cuvettes
Long-path glass cuvettes are highly effective for boosting detection sensitivity in VIS/NIR spectroscopy:
- Excellent transmission between 350–2000 nm.
- Ideal for measuring dilute solutions or weak absorbance signals.
- Durable fused glass construction ensures long-term stability.
- Not suitable for UV measurements below 350 nm.
Usage Notes
- Designed for trace-level absorbance measurements requiring longer optical paths.
- Compatible with standard spectrophotometers equipped for long-path cuvettes.
- Not recommended for use with strong acids, alkalis, or aggressive organic solvents.
Note: For UV applications or use with harsh chemicals, quartz cuvettes are recommended. Glass cuvettes are ideal for visible/NIR trace analysis.
