Description
VCPFTR Triangular Quartz Cuvette with Stopper is a precision fused quartz cuvette designed for high-sensitivity fluorescence and UV/Vis applications. Its triangular body (45 × 18 × 13 mm) and 90° geometry effectively minimize stray light and internal reflections, delivering enhanced signal-to-noise ratios in fluorescence measurements.
With a 10 mm optical path length and a 1.75 mL chamber volume, this cuvette is well suited for standard fluorometers, right-angle detection configurations, and low-to-medium volume samples. The included PTFE stopper helps seal the chamber to reduce evaporation and contamination, ensuring consistent measurement conditions.
Key Advantages
- ✔ Triangular cross-section — reduces reflection and scattering, improving fluorescence detection sensitivity.
- ✔ Four optical windows — allows flexible detection geometry, including right-angle signal collection.
- ✔ Fused fabrication — excellent thermal stability, good chemical resistance, and stable optical performance.
- ✔ Secure sealing — supplied with PTFE stopper for contamination and evaporation control.
- ✔ Compact volume — ideal for fluorescence, absorbance, and kinetic assays with limited samples.
Typical Applications
- Fluorescence spectroscopy with 90° detection
- UV/Vis absorbance measurements
- Protein and nucleic acid quantification
- Dye studies, photoluminescence, and kinetic monitoring
Fused Fabrication Characteristics
- Can be heated up to 600 °C (1112 °F).
- Assembled with quartz powder; small gaps may absorb dyes or stains — not recommended for long-term sample storage.
- Not suitable for HF, toluene, acetone, or aggressive organic solvents (these will shorten the service life significantly).
- Excellent optical transmission across the UV/VIS range with reliable durability.
